Cycling: Stage 16 of the Tour de France halted by protest

Stage 16 of the Tour de France was stopped for 15-minutes after a protest by farmers on the 218km route from Carcassonne to Bagneres-de-Luchon, with some riders having to receive medical treatment from what appeared to be the effects of the use of pepper spray by police to tackle some of the protesters.
