History has been scripted at the Gabba by Ajinkya Rahane & Co. in the fourth and final Test match of the four-match Test series between Australia and India where they have now beaten the hosts at their own backyard and that too after a huge gap of 32 years at this venue. Little had we known that Indian side could be this lethal and balanced even without their star players like Virat Kohli and R Ashwin and Jasprit Bumrah. Indian side had just one aim when they came on to bat on the fifth and final day of the 4th Test, to win it out the Gabba and such was the unpredictability of this game that even till the last ball, everyone held on to their nerves and such was the beauty of this spine-chilling encounter between these two sides. Rishabh Pant was the star of the chase as he remained unbeaten on 89 off 138 deliveries as he guided India home in a nervy finish. Washington Sundar gave him company with yet another stellar knock under pressure as the duo shared a crucial 53-run stand to take India close to victory. The youngster had earlier scored a half-century in the first innings in his debut Test to change India's fortunes.
