Cricket: Alastair Cook will retire from international cricket after final Test against India at The Oval

England batsman Alastair Cook announced he will retire after the last Test of the series against India. Though he will continue to play for Essex. Cook has scored the most Test runs for England and is the most capped player of his country. Cook has been in poor form this summer and his position was under scrutiny. He began his Test career in 2006 in Nagpur and will finish against the same team, India. Cook is sixth in the all-time list of most Test run scorers and he captained England for a record 59 Test matches.
