Bowling : Italy stun the USA to win gold at the Men's World Bowling Championships

Italy won the 5-player team gold at the 2018 World Bowling Men's Championships. They took down the United States, 2-0, in the best-of-three Baker match. Italy stunned US with wins of 189-169 and 210-166 in the gold medal match. USA had won the gold medal in four of the last six World Championships, while Italy has ever won at the World Championships was a bronze in 1971.
