Asian Games News: Bopanna-Divij & rowers add golden lustre to India

India started their day in Asian Games 2018 on a positive note by winning a gold and two bronze medals in rowing. The Indian team of of Sawarn Singh, Dattu Bhokanal, Om Prakash, Sukhmeet Singh won gold in men's Quadruple Sculls to add to India's gold medal tally. Dushyant won a bronze in men's Lightweight Single Sculls. This was followed by another bronze with Rohit Kumar and Bhagwan Singh finishing third in men's Lightweight Double Sculls. In tennis the Indian men's tennis pair of Rohan Bopanna-Divij Sharan beat Kazakhstan's pair 6-3, 6-4 in the men's doubles final to bag a gold medal in a match that lasted for 52 minutes. In shooting Heena Sindhu took home the bronze in women's 10m Air Pistol final with a total score of 219.2 while teenage shooter Manu Bhaker failed to win a medal at the same event.
