Wimbledon will drop the titles “Miss” and “Mrs” before the names of female winners on its honour roll to match the men’s boards. The change in honors board is an initiative by Wimbledon to modernise the tournament. Wimbledon started in 1877, wherein men’s and women’s names on the honour roll have been presented differently.
