Table Tennis News: Achanta Sharath Kamal speaks exclusively to Power Sportz

After having bagged all the seven gold medals in the Commonwealth Table Tennis Championships which ended in Cuttack three days ago, the Indian paddlers are confident of putting up a good show in the Tokyo Olympics next year. Leading them from the front is 37-year-old Achanta Sharath Kamal, an old warhorse who knows pretty well how to handle the burden of expectations and, at the same time, keep feet firmly on the ground, not ignoring the reality. Achanta is hoping that the new national coach Dejan Papic, who accepted the one-year contract offered by SAI to coach the Indian team, does not try to reinvent the wheel with just one year left for the Tokyo Olympics. Sharath, who is currently the world number 32, said the new coach will have to be content with just tweaking things to enhance the performance of the players.
