Sports News: Rowing Federation of India gets back recognition, RFI president talks to PS

54 National Sports Federations were de-recognized by the Sports Ministry on Delhi High Court’s order in the month of June, and with three NSFs, which are RFI, SGFI, and Indian Golf Union being already de-recognized a total number of 57 of de-recognized NSFs jolted the entire sporting spectrum. The reason for de-recognition given to NSFs was their non-compliance with the National Development Sports Code 2011. The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports is slowly and gradually giving back the annual provisional recognition to the NSFs, including the RFI, which had its recognition pending for a long. It’s been a few days since the four-month preparatory camp for 12 rowers had begun at the Army Rowing Node in Pune.
