Shooting News: Training camp for Olympic core group officially deferred by NRAI

The Olympic core group of Indian shooters will now have to wait for an indefinite time as the compulsory camp for these shooters, which was to start from the first week of August, has now been officially deferred by the National Rifle Association of India amid coronavirus pandemic. The camp was compulsory for the 32 members in the core group who are preparing for the now-postponed Tokyo Olympics. According to NRAI, the new schedule will be announced at a later date, which might have left the Indian shooters in a pondering state as to when will the much-anticipated camp for them begin. Very few shooters, who are part of the Olympic core group, are currently practicing at Dr. Karni Singh Range in Delhi with proper precautions and certain norms and protocols in place, which include Asian Games medallist Rifle shooter Sanjeev Rajput and teenager Manu Bhaker.
