News: Varsha Sanjeev speaks exclusively to Power Sportz

In India, we rarely associate women with snooker or billiards, let alone them making regular news. That said, Varsha Sanjeev is creating all the buzz with the cue in the ladies division. Currently ranked no. 1 in India, Varsha was seen going toe-to-toe with the best male players in the country, including the likes of Pankaj Advani, Yasin Merchant and Aditya Mehta at the ongoing CCI Snooker open in Mumbai. The 22-year-old hails from Bangalore and has little qualms about travelling back and forth from her hometown to Mumbai in order to hone her skills. In February, Varsha even won the nationals in Indore and looks all geared up for the upcoming Asian Championships.
