The organisation representing track and field athletes called for the Tokyo Olympics to be postponed because of the coronavirus outbreak. The Athletics Association's statement comes a day after the International Olympic Committee set itself a four-week deadline to decide on a delay - and hours after IOC member Dick Pound said that the decision had already been taken in principle to postpone. Athletics Association vice president Emma Coburn said in an interview that "athletes are willing to postpone our dreams for our safety and for the safety of the world."
