News: Dutee Chand laments lack of competition at Indian GP

India's Sprint queen Dutee Chand bags a gold medal in 100-metre race of the fifth Indian Grand Prix being held in Patiala. The Asian Games silver was the only high-profile name in the competition and expectedly won the race. Dutee Chand clocked 11.42 seconds which is 0.18 sec slower of Worlds qualifying standard which means that the dash runner will have to pin all her hopes on Inter-State Athletics Championships in Lucknow starting August 26 to qualify. Archana Suseendran and Manvir Kaur came 2nd and 3rd respectively.
