News: AFI names 25 member squad for Doha World Championships

The Athletics Federation of India has named a 25 member national team comprising 16 men and nine women for the IAAF World Championships to be held in Doha, Qatar, from September 27 to October 6. AFI has named Sprinter Dutee Chand to represent India in the 100 meter event. Hima Das, the World Under-20 400m champion, has been pencilled in the women and mixed 4x400m squad for the World Championships yet her participation hinges on her recovery from the longstanding back injury and how it would affect her timings in the team events.
