Hockey News: Pittsburgh Penguins defeated Winnipeg Jets 4-3 at the Bell MTS Place in Winnipeg

Brandon Tanev scored the first goal of the game to give the Winnipeg Jets a 1-0 lead over the Pittsburgh Penguins. That was Brandon Tanev's fourth goal of the season. With less than two minutes remaining in the first period, Sidney Crosby scored his 10th goal of the season to tie the game, 1-1. The first period ended with the two teams tied 1-1. Mark Scheifele, Riley Sheahan and Mark Scheifele each scored a goal for their respective teams in the second period. After two periods of play, the Jets led the Penguins 3-2. Five minutes into the third period Derek Grant scored his first goal of the season for the Penguins, thus tying the game 3-3. Zach Aston-Reese scored later in the third period to give the Penguins a 4-3 advantage. The Penguins won the game 4-3.
