Golf: Veerman holds one-shot lead after first day at South Africa Open

Johannes Veerman holds a one-shot after the first round of the South Africa Open. American Veerman carded a nine-under-par 62 in the opening round in Johannesburg. JC Ritchie and Nino Bertasio finished the first day tied for second place at the South Africa Open. Both players shot eight-under 63 each in the first round to stay one shot behind the leaders.
