Football: World Cup hosts Russia making tournament security a top priority

Separatists could be eager to target the World Cup to hurt Russia. Law enforcement agencies have spent years preparing for the event. Russia has introduced a chipped Fan ID to attend the World Cup matches. Russian authorities have tightened air traffic rules. Russia has expanding no-flight zones near the World Cup host cities. Federal Security Service has deployed anti-drone equipment in all 11 host cities. The Russian military will protect World Cup sites with an array of air defence missiles.
