Football News: AIFF to impose sanctions on club who boycotted Super Cup?

The All India Football Federation is likely to impose sanctions on all the aggrieved I-League clubs for skipping the Super Cup. Reports are coming in that a "strong case is being built up" against the seven I-League clubs -- Mohun Bagan, East Bengal, Churchill Brothers, Aizawl FC, Minerva FC, Gokulam FC and NEROCA FC -- for withdrawing from the Super Cup. The AIFF has incurred financial losses due to the pullouts of the clubs, who had cited unfair treatment by the apex body. 3 of the super cup quarterfinals has been decided with Bengaluru to face Chennai City FC, Delhi Dynamos to take on ATK, FC Goa will take on Jamshedpur FC while Chennaiyin FC will face the winner of the Neroca vs Northeast pre-quarterfinal game.
