Football: Corinthians down Chapecoense 1-0, in first leg of Copa do Brasil quarter-finals

Corinthians took an early lead and held on to beat visiting Chapecoense, 1-0, in the first leg of their Copa do Brasil quarterfinal. Using the direct approach, the home side went end to end in ten seconds to score in the 6th minute of the match. Goalkeeper Cassio found Pedrinho well inside Chapecoense's half and the winger found the head of striker Angel Romero who slotted home what proved to be the winning goal.
