Cycling News: Cyclist Ronaldo Singh talks exclusively to PS

The Cycling Federation of India is organizing the sixth edition of The Track Asia Cup 2019 at cycling Velodrome, IG Sports Complex, New Delhi from 9th -11th Sept. 2019. The Federation has gone a long way since organising in 2014 with hardly any stars to showcase and now has become a force specially in Junior section, not only at the Asian level but also have left a mark at the Juniors World Championship with unprecedented success. The event will see total participation from 16 countries namely Kazakhstan, Hong Kong, Uzbekistan, UAE, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Iran, China, Myanmar, Singapore, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Latvia, Slovakia & India. More than 150 cyclists from different countries will compete in this event for the top honours. This event is not only part of the World cup, World championship, but also for the Olympic qualifier for 2020 Tokyo Olympics. The process of qualification started in July 2018 will go up toFeb 20th 2020 thus making it most competitive one. The main Challenge in the event coming from Hong Kong, Thailand , Kazakhstan & Malaysia. Talking about his aim and further preparations for their upcoming tournaments, cyclists Ronaldo Singh said that he along with the team are working really hard to bring medals for the country and that they are now aiming for the 2024 Olympics qualifiers and also to bring medals from there. Ronaldo, who recently won gold at the recently concluded World Cycling Championships said that the Indian coaches have a better tuning with the players in terms of communication and mental support thus there is no need to have a foreign coach as of now.
