Cricket News: Shakib Al Hasan likely to be banned by ICC for 18 months

Bangladesh's top player Shakib Al Hasan is being kept away from practice ahead of the team's high-profile India tour on ICC's instructions while claiming that the all-rounder is set to be banned for not reporting a corrupt approach. Two years ago, the daily wrote, Shakib received an offer from a bookie before an international match, although he did now accept the offer, he did not report to the ICC's Anti-Corruption and Security Unit either. The International Cricket Council has said that the player now could be suspended for 18 months by the governing body. However, ICC refrains from making any comment as of now.
