Cricket News: MPCA member asks BCCI Acting Secretary to step down

When team India along with CoA and the BCCI is gearing up for the all important ICC World Cup the internal conflicts are not taking backseat. In fresh developments BCCI MPCA member Sanjeev Gupta has asked the BCCI Acting Secretary Amitabh Chaudhry to give up all his posts as he stands "disqualified to become an office bearer" of the national governing body for cricket in India. The development came soon after the CoA chief had announced that the BCCI elections will be held in October. In the letter addressed to Chaudhary, Gupta has alleged that Chaudhary has completed 9 years as Jharkhand State Cricket Association Office bearer, but at the same time he is eligible to complete his 9 years term as BCCI Councillor and therefore he stands disqualified to hold any post in any state body or the BCCI. The letter was also sent to the BCCI Ombudsman and Ethics Officer DK Jain, all three Committee of Administrators members chief Vinod Rai, Diana Edulji and Ravi Thodge, BCCI CEO Rahul Johri and BCCI Legal Team.
