Cricket News : Indian players rule ICC ODI rankings

Indian captain Virat Kohli and his deputy Rohit Sharma have once again showed that they are the best batsmen in international cricket currently, by retaining top two spots in ICC ODI rankings for batsmen. After scoring a staggering 453 runs in 5 match ODI series Kohli retained the top spot in the latest rankings for batsmen with 899 points. Indian vice-captain Rohit Sharma is at number 2 with a career-high 871 points. Rohit Sharma scored 389 runs with 2 centuries and one half-century to his name in recently concluded ODI series against West Indies. However, Shikhar Dhawan slip down by four spots to No.9. The left-hander, with a highest score of 38 in the series, struggled to get going against the visitors. Among bowlers, Indian pacers Jasprit Bumrah retained his top spot with 841 points which is his career-best rating point. Bumrah bagged 6 wickets in 3 matches in the ODI series with a staggering average of 11.83. Yuzvendra Chahal also moved up three places to enter the top 10 for the first time at joint No.8 with England's Adil Rashid. Chahal too played a crucial role in the series taking 5 wickets in 3 matches.
