Cricket News: Harmanpreet Kaur's DSP rank withdrawn

India’s T20 captain Harmanpreet Kaur has lost her deputy superintendent of police rank after police verification found her graduation degree was fake. The Punjab Police confirmed that they have withdrawn the DSP post from Harmanpreet who is also an Arjun Awardee. The news is that Harmanpreet could lose her Arjuna award if the police file an FIR for forgery. A senior government functionary in Chief Minister captain Amarinder Singh’s office said,” The state government has written to Harmanpreet that since now her qualification can only be treated as Class XII, she can at best be retained as a constable.” When Harmanpreet was contacted for an answer and asked if she had received the government’s letter, Harmanpreet refused to respond, “I am not well and taking rest. Will tell you later,” she said over the phone. The Moga native had joined Punjab police as a DSP on March 1 and had submitted a 2011 graduation degree purportedly issued by Chaudhary Charan Singh University in Meerut.
