Cricket News : BCCI's Cricket advisory committee likely to opt out from Women’s coach selection

The Cricket Advisory Committee which consists of Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly and VVS Laxman may not be able to conduct the process to finalise India’s new women’s cricket coach for various reasons.// The position of women’s coach has been left vacant after a bitter end to Ramesh Powar’s interim tenure on November 30 and the deadline for potential candidates to file applications ends on December 15. //CAC had opted out of the junior selectors’ selection process citing prior commitments. Reports also suggest that the CAC may also opt out of the process owing to their ignorance in the Virat-Kumble dispute last year. A BCCI official has confirmed that members of the CAC will be asked to give in written if they don’t want to be a part of the selection process. He also added that BCCI is considering contacting some big names like Sunil Gavaskar, Kapil Dev, Anshuman Gaekwad to setup a three member committee for the selection process.
