Chess News: Electoral college a new bone of contention between AICF, rival factions

When we talk about the All India Chess Federation, the facade of it looks like that the administrative turmoil and internal politics have been present here from time immemorial and that the streamline flow of this federation is still a distant dream for now. This is to be recalled that the federation has split into two factions- one led by Bharat Singh Chauhan, and the other by P.R. Venketrama Raja with both factions claiming to overpower each other in the upcoming elections which surprisingly are taking place after 2005, before that officials were chosen unanimously. Of the many numerous issues on which the two divided factions disagreed upon, the formation of electoral college will be the next big thing coming up when the election officer J Kannan meets representatives of the state associations.
