Basketball News: NBA working rapidly to grow the sport of basketball in India

Basketball is a sport which is on the rise in India and youngsters across the country are fascinated by the game. NBA along with the NCAA and USA Basketball held the Next Generation Showcase programme and Sunishka Kartik from Bangalore who has earlier competed at the Junior NBA World Basketball Championship got the opportunity to experience the Next Generation Showcase programme which included a weekend of player development and educational programming in Tampa Florida. The Next Generation Showcase programme hosted by the NCAA in partnership with USA Basketball and the NBA Academies program, and with support from the National Association of Basketball Coaches and the Women's Basketball Coaches Association, the collaboration provides young athletes with educational and life-skills sessions, allows them to compete against their peers from around the world.
