Badminton News: Major blow for India ahead of BWF World Championships

The Indian shuttlers who are going to participate in the BWF Championships will go with an added pressure of getting the medals as in a major blow for India’s medal chances in the tournament Indian pair of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty pulled out of the top tier event. Satwik sustained a shoulder injury in Bangkok and it needs at least three weeks to heal. Apparently, Satwik and Ashwini Ponappa are also out of the mixed doubles. India’s top pair in mixed doubles Pranaav Jerry Chopra and Sikki Reddy have also withdrawn from the tournament as the former sustained a hip injury.
