Asian Games News: Amit Panghal wins gold in 49 Kg men's Light Flyweight category

It is a special day for Indian boxing as Indian pugilist Amit Panghal wins gold in 49 Kg men's Light Flyweight category. The 22-year-old Indian boxer beat the 2016 Olympic champion Hasanboy Dusmatov of Uzbekistan. Amit Panghal was underdog before going into the match but he came out trumps against his opponent from Uzbekistan who is a reigning Olympic champion. Questions 1. Did you expect him to win a gold especially when he was against Olympic Champion in the final? 2. What separates him from rest of the pugilists as by now he has won silver in commonwealth games and gold in Asian Games? 3. The pressure was on Amit Panghal too as Vikas Krishnan pulled out from his semi-final bout. He was the only Indian playing in the final but he looked simply amazing in both the semi-final and final bout? 4. Amit has shown his talent and potential by winning gold in Asian Games and silver at the Commonwealth. Don't you think he has a potential to win a medal in Olympics as well? Amit Panghal has been in sensational form and the year 2018 has been his breakthrough year. We hope he continues in the same way and goes on and win an Olympic medal.
