Archery's High Performance Director Sanjeeva Singh talks exclusively to PS

After India finished an eventful campaign by claiming seven medals (silver – six and bronze – one) at the Archery Asia Cup 2023 stage 3 in Singapore, the team is gearing up again for another challenge in the form of Youth and Cadet world archery championship in Ireland from 3rd to 9th July 2023. India secured the fifth position in the medal standings and failed to claim a single gold medal. In the team events, the women’s recurve team were close to winning the gold medal but lost (3-5) to Korea. In an all India clash, Pragati defeated teamate Deepshikha (147-146) to win the individual women’s compound bronze. India qualified to the finals of Archery Asia Cup 2023 in six events (including individual and team events). None of the them could win a gold with all the finalist suffering defeats
